Scheduled - Next Monday, 10/25, at 10:00 AM Eastern, we will be rolling out enhanced security features to our VOD manifest service. This provides additional security checks on manifest URLs requested by Zype players. There is no downtime expected during this maintenance period.

If you are requesting Zype's VOD manifests directly, you may need to make updates to your implementation. We have documentation in our help center on how to properly request a video player and retrieve a manifest for proper playback:

Monitoring - A fix has been deployed and is propagating across all requests. We are seeing VOD delivery stabilize and are monitoring the results.

If a consumer has issues persist, their requests may be cached with bad request data. To reset that, they should hard refresh their browser by navigating to the refresh option in their browser and selecting "Empty cache and Hard Reload". Over time, cache will be reset automatically.

Scheduled - On Thursday, 10/21, at 9:30 AM Eastern, we will be deploying a performance improvement to the videos and playlists APIs. This update is focused around syncing custom thumbnails when thumbnail updates are made to a video or playlist via API. There is no downtime expected during this maintenance period.

As part of this update, there will be a change to the sync process that occurs when updating video or playlist custom thumbnails via API. Once you update the custom thumbnail, it will trigger the sync process and the thumbnail will be updated in 20-30 seconds. This does not require you to make any updates to your process for uploading custom thumbnails, and will be reflected in our documentation. This does not impact custom thumbnail updates made via the admin dashboard.
